In this edition of the newsletter, you will find some helpful reminders and information about Sunshine's After School Program.

Extracurricular Classes' Schedules & Rosters

Below is the roster and schedule for our Spring 2026 Extracurricular Classes.

• Reading Class: For new students who signed up for the first time: Our Reading instructor will be giving assessments on the first day of class to determine which class level these students will be placed in. Therefore, the schedule for these students are subject to change depending on their skill level. 
• Math Club: Thank you to the families who signed up for our free Math Club. Classes will begin next Tuesday, January 27th from 3:15pm - 4:15pm. 

Professional Development Day

Sunshine After School will be open for our regular After School hours for BUSD's Professional Development Day on Wednesday, January 28th.

• TK students may be dropped off at Sunshine at 12:30pm.
• Kindergarten to 8th grade students may be dropped off at Sunshine at 2:00pm.

Please note that your child's attendance for this day is optional. You will not be charged any additional fees as it is already included in your February tuition.

Brightwheel Platform

A friendly reminder for families to sign-up and join the Brightwheel Platform if you haven't already. Thank you to all the families who have already registered!

Brightwheel helps us keep you connected with your child's day, attendance, sharing photos, activities, and important updates in real-time such as illnesses, accidents, emergencies, school closures, etc. 

Sunshine will gradually implement the Brightwheel Platform for all future communication between our program and families including registrations for extracurriculars and Full Day Programs, etc.; so please be sure to create your account at your earliest convenience. 

Here's how to get started:

• Click the unique link in the official invitation you receive (either via email or text).
• Follow the prompts to create your account or sign in if you already have one.
• Connect to your child, to start seeing their progress and communicating with us!
• Once your account is created, please be sure to update your child(ren)'s profile with the most recent information including:
  • address/phone numbers
  • allergies and additional medical information
  • authorized pick-ups (click on the (+) under contacts section)
