Fall has finally arrived and this is the October Edition of our Parent Newsletter. In this edition of the newsletter, you will read about our upcoming Fall events including After School's Halloween Talent Show, Preschool's Halloween Celebrations, and more. Spots are also still available for After School's Fall Break Full Day Program, please register below to reserve your child's spot.

Halloween Trick-or-Treat Event
Sierra Preschool Location will be holding a Halloween Trick-or-Treat Event. The event will be on Thursday, October 30th from 4:30PM. Come to Sunshine dressed in your Halloween Costumes for a festive day of sweets and fun! Don't forget to bring a bucket to collect your goodies!

Parents are welcome to attend and wear costumes. Further information will be given for families who wish to contribute treats and toys!

Tuition
Tuition is due by the 1st of every month. Parents may check their balance online at www.mysunshineschool.com. Please pay the amount owed by the 10th of every month or a late fee of 10% will apply. Thank you for your cooperation.

October Fall Break Full Day Program

BUSD students will be having their October Fall Break from October 6th to October 10th. Sunshine School will be open for our Full Day Program during this week for families who need care. Parents who wish to sign up, please fill out the October Fall Break Registration to reserve your spot, as space is limited.

Sunshine will be open from 8:30am to 6:00pm for this week and will be located at the Turlock Classrooms (1363 Turlock Lane). The rate is $400 for all five days (10/6 to 10/10) or $95 per day. The fee will be added to your October tuition. 

Please note: This week is not included in your After School tuition. You will not be charged for this week if you do not sign up for our Full Day Program.

Halloween Talent Show!
Sunshine After School's Annual Halloween Talent Show is returning on Friday, October 17th from 5:00pm to 6:30pm!

We invite students to sign up to perform their special talents. Please sign up with your child's lead teacher by Friday, October 3rd.

• For the Halloween Talent Show, students and families are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.
• In the spirit of Halloween, we will be putting together some treat bags for the students. We would like to ask families to contribute some treats and toys for these goodie bags (candies, chocolate (no nuts), small snack bags, juice boxes, and other small toys). Please bring your contribution to your child's lead teacher by Wednesday, October 15th!
• Talent Show Rehearsal Times - In preparation for the talent show, Sunshine School will have two rehearsal days on Tuesday, October 14th and Thursday, October 16th from 4:30 - 6:00 PM. Parents, please allow your children to stay for the duration of rehearsal to practice for a great show. Thank you for your support!

Please note that costumes and contributions are optional and not required. 

Extracurricular Classes
French Class originally scheduled on Tuesday, September 30th was canceled due to instrutor absence. A make-up class will be scheduled soon, date TBA.

FAQ
What should my child bring to Sunshine?

• A REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE every day.
• Bring SUNBLOCK (labeled with your child's name) everyday. 
• CUP AND BOWL(S) (labeled with your child's name) for lunch and snack (lunch is provided for TK students only) everyday. Sunshine wants to go green! Help us in our efforts to become less wasteful!
• In addition to these items, Kindergarten & 1st Grade students will need to bring ONE CHANGE OF CLOTHES to be kept in their cubby at Sunshine.
