School Holiday
For the month of September, please note that Sunshine School will be CLOSED on Monday, September 1st, 2025 to observe Labor Day.

Tuition
Tuition is due by the 1st of every month. Parents may check their balance online at www.mysunshineschool.com. Please pay the amount owed by the 10th of every month or a late fee of 10% will apply. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please note the September tuition includes five weeks of the After School Program. Tuition is generated based on the number of Mondays in each month. The week of September  29th - October 3rd will count towards September tuition.

Extracurricular Classes Schedule & Roster
Below is the roster and schedule for our Fall Extracurricular Classes.

• For students 1st Grade & Up who signed up for Chinese Enrichment Class: Our Chinese Enrichment instructor will be giving assessments on the first day of class for 1st Graders & up to determine which class level these students will be placed in. Therefore, the schedule for these students are subject to change depending on their skill level. Any changes will be notified by email.
• There will be a $20 Book Fee for Monday's Reading Group 2 (2nd Graders & up).

Kindergarten Schedule Change
The schedule for most BUSD Kindergarten students will change beginning Monday, September 15th. For Kindergarten students from Ruskin and Kindergarten students using our transportation services, Sunshine School will pick-up students at the appropriate time of dismissal for their school.

September 24th After School Program
Sunshine will be OPEN for our After School Program during BUSD's Professional Development Day on Wednesday, September 24th from 12:30pm to 6:30pm. 

Please fill out the following form if your child will be attending the After School Program on this day.

Please note that your child's attendance for this day is optional.  You will not be charged any additional fees as it is already included in your September tuition.

October Fall Break
BUSD students will be having their October Fall Break from October 6th to October 10th. Sunshine School will be open for our Full Day Program during this week for families who need care. Parents who wish to sign up, please fill out the October Fall Break Registration to reserve your spot, as space is limited.

Sunshine will be open from 8:30am to 6:00pm for this week and will be located at the Turlock Classrooms (1363 Turlock Lane). The rate is $400 for all five days (10/6 to 10/10) or $95 per day. The fee will be added to your October tuition. 

Please note: This week is not included in your After School tuition. You will not be charged for this week if you do not sign up for our Full Day Program.

Mandarin Immersion Homework Help
Homework help for MI (Mandarin Immersion) students has started this week and will be provided every Monday to Thursday from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Please see a tentative schedule for each class: 

• 3:30 - 4:00pm K1 - Kindergarten
• 4:00 - 4:30pm F2 - 1st grade
• 4:30 - 5:00pm F3 - 2nd grade
• 5:00 - 5:30pm A1 - 4th grade    

FAQ
What should my child bring to Sunshine?

• A REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE every day.
• Bring SUNBLOCK (labeled with your child's name) everyday. 
• CUP AND BOWL(S) (labeled with your child's name) for lunch and snack (lunch is provided for TK students only (and Kinder until 9/12) everyday. Sunshine wants to go green! Help us in our efforts to become less wasteful!
• In addition to these items, Kindergarten students will need to bring ONE CHANGE OF CLOTHES to be kept in their cubby at Sunshine.
