We hope everyone was able to have an amazing start of the school year! This is the September Edition of our Newsletter. Below you will find some helpful reminders and information to help your month go by smoothly! 

A friendly reminder that the last day to sign up for Extracurricular Classes is tomorrow (Wednesday, August 31st). 

Please review our available classes here: Fall 2022 Extracurriculars. A brief description of some of our classes can viewed on our Extracurricular Flyer Brochure.

Families may use the following link to sign-up for Extracurricular Classes or turn in a hard copy of the form to your child's lead teacher or to the Sunshine Office by the deadline.

School Holiday
For the month of September, please note that Sunshine School will be CLOSED on Monday, September 5, 2022 to observe Labor Day.

  

Tuition
Tuition is due by the 1st of every month. Parents may check their balance online at www.mysunshineschool.com. Please pay the amount owed by the 10th of every month or a late fee of 10% will apply. Thank you for your cooperation.

School Holiday

Kindergarten Schedule Change
The schedule for most BUSD Kindergarten students will change beginning Monday, September 12th. For Kindergarten students from Ruskin and Kindergarten students using our transportation services, Sunshine School will pick-up students at the appropriate time of dismissal for their school.

September Fall Break
BUSD students will be having their September Fall Break from September 26th to September 30th. Sunshine School will be open for our Full Day Program during this week for families who need care. Parents who wish to sign up, please fill out the September Fall Break Registration to reserve your spot, as space is limited.

Sunshine will be open from 9:00am to 6:30pm for this week and will be located at the Turlock Classrooms (1363 Turlock Lane). The rate is $350 for all five days (9/26 - 9/30) or $88 per day. The fee will be added to your September tuition. 

Please note: This week is not included in your September After School tuition. You will not be charged for this week if you do not sign up for our Full Day Program.

What should my child bring to Sunshine?

• A FACEMASK (and a spare if needed) everyday. All students are required to wear a facemask that covers their mouth and nose while at Sunshine. Exceptions are only for students with a medical condition, mental health condition, or disability that prevents wearing a face covering.
• Bring SUNBLOCK (labeled with your child's name) everyday. 
• A REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE every day.
• CUP AND BOWL(S) (labeled with your child's name) for lunch and snack (lunch is provided for TK students only) everyday. Sunshine wants to go green! Help us in our efforts to become less wasteful!
• In addition to these items, Kindergarten students will need to bring ONE CHANGE OF CLOTHES to be kept in their cubby at Sunshine.
