Greetings Sunshine Family,

Happy Memorial Weekend!  Sunshine School wish all a safe and enjoyable celebration.  We want to brief everyone that Sunshine Directors and Teachers continue to prepare our facility and program to safely re-open and serve our community.  Our plan is to re-open Sierra location on June 1st if or when Santa Clara County Health Department (SCCPH) gives the green light for school and daycare to open.  We anticipate our County will lift the existing Shelter In Place on May 31st, but there is a possibility that the mandate be extended further.  We will abide by the County’s guidance and adjust accordingly.

As we wait for further guidance, we want to share our Re-Opening Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and welcome your constructive feedback and recommendation.  For your convenience, the SOP is available in both English and Chinese language on the same document.  Please note that the SOP is a work in progress.  It has been carefully prepared based on CDC, DSS Licensing and our staffs experience.  However, in this uncertain time and constantly changing situation, the safety of our children and staffs ultimately relies on all of us collectively.

In addition, as safety of our students, staffs, and families is our primary concern, we would be grateful if you are able to donate the following items to help us safe guard our program and facility:

• Adult and children surgical facemasks
• Disinfecting wipes
• Hand sanitizers
• Non-contact forehead thermometers
• Gloves
