Greetings Sunshine Family,

We are heading towards the end of our Summer Program with just a few weeks left! This upcoming week is Under the Sea Week, where students will participate in activities and learn all about marine life. Thank you for your cooperation and staying updated with the Sunshine Newsletter! Parents can view our Week 8 Roster here: Summer Program Week 8 Roster.

Classroom assignments are as follows:
          

     Below you will find some more reminders and information to help your week go by smoothly!  

• For this week, all classes will be attending a field trip to Aqua Adventure Waterpark on Wednesday, July 31st! Please remember to arrive at Sunshine School by 10:00AM. 

• On the day of the field trip, please remember to have students bring a bagged lunch (in a disposable bag to make it easier on the children during the trip), wear their Sunshine T-shirt over their swimwear, and bring the following items: towel, a change of clothes, sunblock, and flip flops/water shoes.

• Field Trip Policy - If a student misbehaves during their field trip, he or she is not allowed to attend the next week's field trip as a consequence. 

• On Tuesday, July 30th, we will have a special guest: MMA fighter and instructor James Terry visit our Summer Program. He will be instructing two sessions for students who are interested in participating. Session times are below:

  • Kindergarten and 1st Graders: 9:00am to 9:45am

  • 2nd Graders and up: 9:50am to 10:35am

Student Allergy Information
Parents, please list any ALLERGIES (food or medicine) when you sign in your child on their first day of Sunshine Summer Program. There will be an information sheet for you to list any allergies that your child may have.

Extracurricular Classes 
Extracurricular Classes began on Week 4 of the Summer Program. Parents may view the roster and schedule here: Class Roster and Schedule

Please note the following schedule changes for extracurricular classes:

• Basketball class originally scheduled on August 8th will be moved to August 7th per instructor’s request.  

Dance Sessions

Mr. Evan will be holding dance class on Monday and Friday mornings starting July 29th for students who want to participate! See schedule below:

• Kindergarten and 1st Graders: 8:45 to 9:15
• 2nd Graders and up: 9:15 - 9:45

Lost & Found 
Lost and found items are located in the Sunshine Office. We encourage parents to label all items (clothing, water bottle, cups and bowls, etc.) that your children bring to school with their names. 
 

Items to Bring to School Everyday
Just a quick reminder, please pack these items for your children EVERYDAY -

• Water bottle 
• Sunblock and a hat
• 2 sets of cups and bowls (utensils like forks/spoons would be great too!)
  *Please, no glass or ceramic bowls/cups. Thank you!
