Greetings Sunshine Family,

We hope you're all excited for Week 6 of our summer program: Cooking Week! Thank you for your cooperation and staying updated with the Sunshine Newsletter! Parents can view our Week 6 Roster here: Summer Program Week 6 Roster.

Since it is Cooking Week and we will be utilizing a lot of food, please make sure to double check with your child's teachers to ensure that any food allergies your child may have are listed on our Allergy List. You may also email any corrections to our offices at kelly@mysunshineschool.com or jeanette@mysunshineschool.com.

Below you will find some more reminders and information to help your week go by smoothly!  

• Kindergarten to 2nd graders (Yahoo, Twitter, Google, Apple, and Amazon Class) will be attending a field trip to Round Table Pizza to learn all about pizza making! Please remember to arrive at Sunshine School by 9:00AM. Below are the field trip dates for each class:

  • Yahoo Kindergarten Class: Monday, July 15th

  • Twitter Kindergarten Class: Tuesday, July 16th

  • Google and Apple 1st Grade Classes: Wednesday, July 17th

  • Amazon 2nd Grade Class: Thursday, July 18th

• For this field trip, please remember to have students wear their yellow Sunshine T-Shirt and bring a bagged lunch (in a disposable bag to make it easier on the children during the trip). Each student will be making a small personal pizza to eat during the trip; if this seems sufficient enough for your child's lunch, a bagged lunch may not be necessary.

• 3rd graders and up (YouTube and Facebook Class) will be attending a BBQ Party hosted by our founders Mr. Jonathan and Mrs. Sarah. Please remember to arrive at Sunshine School by 10:00AM. Below are the dates for each class:

  • YouTube 3rd Grade Class: Thursday, July 18th

  • Facebook 4th Grade & up Class: Friday, July 19th  

• For this field trip, please remember to have students wear their yellow Sunshine T-Shirt. Lunch will be provided for this trip.  

• Field Trip Policy - If a student misbehaves during their field trip, he or she is not allowed to attend the next week's field trip as a consequence. 

Student Allergy Information
Parents, please list any ALLERGIES (food or medicine) when you sign in your child on their first day of Sunshine Summer Program. There will be an information sheet for you to list any allergies that your child may have.

Early Bird Special Gifts
For parents who registered before the Early Bird Special Deadlines, your children will receive their bonus items on their first day in the Sunshine Summer Program. 

Extracurricular Classes 
Extracurricular Classes began on Week 4 of the Summer Program. Parents may view the roster and schedule here: Class Roster and Schedule

Please note the following schedule changes for extracurricular classes:

• Basketball class on July 18th will be postponed to 1:00pm due to a field trip.
• Basketball class originally scheduled on August 8th will be moved to August 7th per instructor’s request.  

Lost & Found 
Lost and found items are located in the Sunshine Office. We encourage parents to label all items (clothing, water bottle, cups and bowls, etc.) that your children bring to school with their names. 
 

Items to Bring to School Everyday
Just a quick reminder, please pack these items for your children EVERYDAY -

• Water bottle 
• Sunblock and a hat
• 2 sets of cups and bowls (utensils like forks/spoons would be great too!)
  *Please, no glass or ceramic bowls/cups. Thank you!
