Greetings Sunshine Family,

We just can't wait for all the creative projects lined up for Week 3, S.T.E.A.M.! During this week, students will be engaging in activities and crafts revolving around Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Below you will find some reminders and information to help your week go by smoothly!    

Some of our classes will be doing science projects this week that involve using plastic bottles. We ask parents to help collect and bring in some bottles. Please, see details below:

• Please bring one empty 500 milliliter (16 oz) plastic bottle for your child to use by Wednesday (6/26)

• This week's field trip for Kindergarten to 2nd Grade is to the The Clay Magic House Art Studio. Please make sure to arrive by 12:00PM on the following days for your child's grade:

  • Monday, June 24th: 2nd Grade

  • Thursday, June 27th: Kindergarten

  • Friday, June 28th: 1st Grade

• 3rd graders and up will be visiting the Tech Interactive Museum. Please make sure to arrive by 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 26th.  

• For your child's field trip day, parents, please remember to have students wear their yellow Sunshine T-Shirt and bring a bagged lunch (in a disposable bag, to make it easy on children during the field trip). If students do not wear their Sunshine T-Shirt or bring a bagged lunch, they will not be able to go on the field trip. 

• Field Trip Policy - If a student misbehaves during their field trip, he or she is not allowed to attend the next week's field trip as a consequence. 

Which class should my child go to?
Sunshine Summer Camp assigns the kids into different age groups according to the grade that he or she is entering in Fall 2019. The roster for each class can be found here: Summer Week 3 Roster!

Please note: Due to the large number of Kindergarten students this summer, we have decided to split our Kindergarteners into two classes. Please check the roster to see where your child has been placed. 

Student Allergy Information
Parent's please list any ALLERGIES (food or medicine) when you sign in your child on their first day of Sunshine Summer Program. There will be an information sheet for you to list any allergies that your child may have.

Early Bird Special Gifts
For parents who registered before the Early Bird Special Deadlines, your children will receive their bonus items on their first day in the Sunshine Summer Program.

Lost & Found 
Lost and found items are located in the Sunshine Office. We encourage parents to label all items (clothing, water bottle, cups and bowls, etc.) that your children bring to school with their names. 

Items to Bring to School Everyday
Just a quick reminder, please pack these items for your children EVERYDAY -

• Water bottle 
• Sunblock and a hat
• 2 Sets of cups and bowls
  Plastic is preferred. Please, no glass or ceramic bowls/cups. Thank you!
