Greetings Sunshine Family,

This coming week will be Week 8 of our Summer Program, the theme will be All Around the World! Students will spend their days learning about different areas of the world, their traditions, and cultures! Parents can view our Week 8 Roster here: Summer Program Week 8 Roster. Classroom assignments are as follows: 

Below you will find some more reminders and information to help your week go by smoothly!    

• For this week - we will have a field trip that is all about Friends, Food, and Fun!

• Yahoo, Twitter, Apple, Google, and Amazon Classes will go to Flickinger Park for a Class Picnic. Please, arrive before 9:30 AM on your field trip day and do not forget to pack a bag lunch (in a disposable bag, to make it easy on children during the field trip) as the students will eat lunch in the park. 

  • ​Yahoo & Twitter Classes  -  Wednesday, August 1st. 
    Apple & Google Classes - Tuesday, July 31st. 
    Amazon Class - Thursday, August 2nd. 

• YouTube and Facebook Classes will go to a BBQ Party. Please, arrive before 10:00 AM on your field trip day. Students do NOT need to bring a bag lunch for this field trip.

    ​​Facebook Classes - Thursday, August 2nd. 

• *For this field trip, we will be using school vans. If parents have any questions or concerns, please contact your lead teacher or visit the Sunshine Office.

• For your child's field trip day, parents, please remember to have students wear their yellow Sunshine T-Shirt and bring a bag lunch . If students do not wear their Sunshine T-Shirt or bring a bag lunch, they will not be able to go on the field trip. 

• Field Trip Policy - If a student misbehaves during their field trip, he or she is not allowed to attend the next week's field trip as a consequence.

Student Allergy Information
Parent's please list any ALLERGIES (food or medicine) when you sign in your child on their first day of Sunshine Summer Program. There will be an information sheet for you to list any allergies that your child may have.

Early Bird Special Gifts
For parents who registered before the Early Bird Special Deadlines, your children will receive their bonus items on their first day in the Sunshine Summer Program. 


Extracurricular Classes 
Extracurricular Classes began Week 3 of Summer Program. Parents may view the roster here: Extracurricular Class Roster. 

Lost & Found 
Lost and found items are located in the Sunshine Office. We encourage parents to label all items (clothing, water bottle, cups and bowls, etc.) that your children bring to school with their names. 

Items to Bring to School Everyday
Just a quick reminder, please pack these items for your children EVERYDAY -

• Water Bottle 
• Sun Block and a Hat
• 2 Sets of Cups and Bowls
  Plastic is preferred. Please, no glass or ceramic bowls/cups. Thank you! 
   

Sunshine School will partner with Milpitas Star Aquatics to host swim lessons for students in grades 1 - 12. The Swimming Class schedule is listed below:

                   
For every swimming class, students should bring a bag (labeled with their first and last name) containing their:

• Swimming Suit
• Flip - Flops
• Towel
• Goggles
• Clean Set of Changing Clothes
