Greetings Sunshine Family,

The first week of our summer program was awesome! The artistic creations from the students were truely amazing. We just can't wait for all the creative crafts lined up for Week 2, Craft and Create Week! During this Week, students will be discovering new ways to use materials and create brand new products. Below you will find some reminders and information to help your week go by smoothly!

*Sunshine School Spirit Days*
Sunshine will have a different Spirit Day each Friday of Summer! We encourage students to get festive this summer with their friends and teachers. Students can dress up according to the theme each Friday. For June, we have two Spirit Days -

1. Crazy Hair Day on Friday, June 23rd
   In accordance with the Trolls Movie, we will be having a Crazy Hair Day on Friday, June 23rd. Students can decorate and color their hair to be just like the Trolls!
    
2. Superhero Day on Friday, June 30th
   Calling all superheroes! On this day, students can dress like their favorite superhero!

• This week's field trip is to the Movie Theater to see the Trolls Movie! The field trip will take place on Monday, June 19th. Please, make sure to arrive before 9:00 AM on this day. 

• For your child's field trip day, parents, please remember to have students wear their yellow sunshine t-shirt and bring a bag lunch (in a disposable bag, to make it easy on children during the field trip). If students do not wear their sunshine t-shirt or bring a bag lunch, they will not be able to go on the field trip. 

• Field Trip Policy - If a student misbehaves during their field trip, he or she is not allowed to attend the next week's field trip as a consequence.

Student Allergy Information
Parent's please list any ALLERGIES (food or medicine) when you sign in your child on their first day of Sunshine Summer Program. There will be an information sheet for you to list any allergies that your child may have.
 

Early Bird Special Gifts
For parents who registered before the Early Bird Special Deadlines, your children will receive their bonus items on their first day in the Sunshine Summer Program. 


Extracurricular Classes 
Soccer and Zumba Classes started on Wednesday, June 14th (there are no classes on the first two days of summer program). All other extracurricular classes begin after Week 3 of summer program. Extracurricular Class sign-up closed on Friday, June 16th.
 

Lost & Found 
Lost and found items are located in the Sunshine Office (Room #28, between the Kindergarten Classes). We encourage parents to label all items (clothing, water bottle, cups and bowls, etc.) that your children bring to school with their names. 
 

Items to Bring to School Everyday
Just a quick reminder, please pack these items for your children EVERYDAY -

• Water Bottle 
• Sun Block and a Hat
• 2 Sets of Cups and Bowls
  Plastic is preferred. Please, no glass or ceramic bowls/cups. Thank you!
